The Vision Behind Watica

The brainchild of Rohit Arya, Ashwani Sharma, and Aditya Sharma, Mission Watica was born from their shared passion for service and environmental conservation. Their long-standing friendship fueled the vision for an initiative that could impact millions while addressing the dire need for sustainable practices. Joining them was Uday Kumar Goyal, Rohit Arya’s younger brother, who took charge of executing the mission on the ground with utmost dedication and efficiency.

An Award-Winning Initiative

Mission Watica’s exemplary efforts were recently recognized on a national platform. At a prestigious ceremony held at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, Rohit Arya and Ashwani Sharma were honored with the “Rising India Inspiring Personality Award 2025” by the Vocal for Local Talent Promoter Organization. The award, presented by Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma, along with other dignitaries such as TV actress Vineeta Malik and Haryana State Social Welfare Board Chairperson Sumitra Chauhan, acknowledged their outstanding contribution to social service and environmental preservation.

Mission Watica at MahaKumbh 2025

The MahaKumbh 2025 served as the ideal platform for Mission Watica’s impactful launch. The initiative aimed to distribute 1 crore compostable water pouches to millions of devotees, offering them clean drinking water in eco-friendly packaging. These 100% biodegradable pouches replaced single-use plastic bottles, significantly reducing plastic waste while serving the immediate needs of the devotees.

Praise and Recognition

Mission Watica has been lauded by prominent figures and organizations for its innovative approach. During a visit to the project’s stall at the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Vishwavidyalaya Camp, the Governor of Assam expressed admiration for the initiative, calling it “a perfect blend of devotion and responsibility towards Mother Earth.” Religious organizations such as the Arya Samaj, Sadhvi Nitambra Ashram, and Shri Godad Akhada Seva Samiti also extended their support, emphasizing the campaign’s importance in preserving the sanctity of the Ganga and other holy rivers.
